Thomas the Tank Engine

 

 

 

 

When Loryn was little she LOVED Thomas the Tank engine. Lots of children with Autism do find his gentle face to be comforting, plus the stories involve a long list of engines and cars to describe by type and color,to name and organize . This Christmas, Loryn was so excited to open her Big present which was a flat screen TV to also double as a monitor for her new ( to her) desktop computer. When she tore off the paper, her reaction was very underwhelming...I later asked her to tell me why she was not excited about the TV. She told me that the TV box was the same size and came with a carrying handle, just like the Thomas railroad toys. She thought the box contained a new train set, not a new TV...So later I told her I would find the Thomas sets on sale after Christmas, and to be fair I got a small one for Misty, as well. I'm trying to get them to play together peacefully....I'll let you know how that turns out!
