Shyla's very first theater movie...Toy Story 3 in 3-D!
Loryn's first movie... Fantasia 2000, and mine was Bambi. My mom's was Song of the South...We LOVE Disney movies.
When I heard that my 4 year old neice, Shyla, still had not been the the theater to see a movie, I suggested that we take her on our planned Father's Day outing to see Toy Story 3.
She was very well behaved and even kept the 3-D glasses on during the whole film, and ate a good bit of popcorn, as well.
Our tickets were free, since we upgraded our VHS Toy Story 1 & 2 to Blu-ray and we got a free ticket for each one of those! Soon I hope to upgrade the Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 to Blu-ray. I think it is on rotation for the Fall release. Song of the South has yet to be released because it tends to be controversial and Disney things it would be construed as racist... Have they seen PETER PAN!!! ??? The portrayal of Native American Indians is very racially stereotypical. But guess what...Shyla* has Peter Pan and watches it! But like Loryn, she is a TINK fan. She watches Peter Pan to see Tink. I have bought her several of her own copies of our favorite Disney movies. Plus when we upgrade to Blu-ray, they include a DVD copy, So I have given her our old DVD when we upgrade! Win-Win! Plus I'm a member of Disney Movie Club so I get great deals on Movies for my neices!
I really love the Pixar movies! My most recent favorites have been-Ratatouille, Cars, Wall-E, and Up.
Of course we are fans of the classic films as well. My favorite of all is Mary Poppins! What is your favorite Disney Movie?
*Shyla is of course 1/2 Native American Indian
