Our Family, in the Begining. We were married at Sjælør Kirke in Copenhagen, on October 30, 1999.
Hi, If you arrived here from a comment I left on your blog, thanks! I promise that I'm not a stalker. I am rather shy, but knew it wasn't fair to follow your blogs with out introducing myself. So , I thought I'd share a little about myself with you.
I'm 41, married to my Dane almost 10 years now. I love my job as a
homebased teacher of infants and toddlers with develomental delays. Most of my students are about 2 years old and have language delays. It is a program that Loryn was in when she was a baby. However, My teaching certificate is for ages 3 to 8th grade, regular education so I am now working towards a Certificate in Early Intervention, Special Education for infants to Age 5 from The
University of New Orleans. I was working on a Library Science Masters degree program at Louisiana State University when I got this job so that got put on hold. I did however complete School Library Media speciaist certification. Anyway, I travel over 4 rural Louisiana Parishes to get to my baby student's homes. At any one time I have 20 to 25 students that I visit for an hour 4 to 2 times a month.
Loryn keeps busy by participating in local Girl Scouts and 4-H clubs. She also participates in social groups with other middle School aged kids with Aspergers syndrome. She just turned 13 and is going to be in 7th grade when school begins in a few weeks. She was born during my first marriage but has been adopted by Benny but has dual citizenship and has her own Danish passport.
Benny works as a department manager of the electrical section of a
major home improvement center. He drives aout 40 miles one way to work every day. He seems to be happy enough here, but I know he missed his
Gokart team buddies. He is currently building a gokart in his workshop in our back yard.
