We had a fabulous time at the Camp near
Toleado Bend and spent Saturday afternoon in
Natchitoches, the oldest settlement in the Louisiana Purchase, walking along the Cane River, and waiting for the Children's Parade. It rained but that did not stop the parade. Steel Magnolias, one of my favortite movies was filmed there and we drove by the
"Steel Magnolia House" while on our way there.
Dee, Nan and Vic were my closest friends growing up and this was the first time we had a weekend away together since our Senior Trip after Graduation from HHS in 1985. We had a great time eating drinking and chatting around a camp fire! I hope we do it every year, now!
