We were glad that the rain stopped long enough so that the City's Fireworks program could still take place. It was not really hot, but very muggy, and the bugs weren't bad. However, since the fireworks were moved from behind the pond at the I-10 park to across the interstate at the airport we were not in the best position to see them. We like to sit on the little island in the pond. Maybe the FEMA trailer park behind the park is the reason for the move,but I'm not sure.
