We arrived at the Houston George Bush International Airport in perfect time and the Parking lot shuttle dropped us ( and alll of our 5 pieces of luggage ) at the wrong terminal so we quickly got a baggage cart and took a tour on the underground train from D to A terminal and checked in and got all of our bags checked except for my purse and a pilot case which held all of our medications and Loryn's gameboy and DVD player and Benny's briefcase which we kept for carry on.
The flight to Atlanta Hartsfeld-Jackson was uneventful and we had a lunch break where Loryn was told she could have whatever she wanted to eat as long as they let her pay for her meal with the $12 in US pennies we had rolled up from her piggy bank and never got changed into cash. The young guy at the smoothie shop was laughing as he counted her rolls of coins and I was relived that I didn't have to carry them in my purse anymore.
They somehow managed to change our 2 month old seating reservations and place each one of us scattered through out the plane so we begged for them to at least place two seats together so that Loryn would have a parent next to her. I was moved to a section of two empty seats near the window and Benny and Loryn had two seats in the middle.
Our flight to Copenhagen Kastrup airport left about a half hour late so we left about 6:30pm and landed in Copenhagen at 9:30am on July 21, 2006. It was raining when we arrived and just a little cool. Harry and Mor met us at the exit and we took a a taxi ride (Loryn's first) to their Apartment.
