.......Or what happens when a tractor driver pulling a fiber-shank misjudges the height clearance and pulls down the traffic signal and four electric poles and the power line for a half-mile.
Since I knew about the accident just down the road from my home just after it happened, I went ahead and stayed late at work, got Loryn supper at Sonic and helped her study her homework on the patio but the evenings last light. Since with no power we don’t have hot water I made her just brush her teeth by flashlight and sent her to bed early with her (thank goodness) fully charged Gameboy. I entertained myself with my XM My-FI radio and it’s silly little earbuds. Power was restored just before 11 pm. No computer, no TV, you can’t do laundry and it is really too hard to scrapbook by candlelight…So much for my evening plans….
Thank goodness it is April and cool weather.
Amazing how hard life is with out electricity. How did my grandparents do it before power was run out to our country community when my father was 5?
